Wassily Kandinsky (4 Dec 1866 – 13 Dec 1944) was a Russian painter, and art theorist. He is often credited with painting the first modern abstract works.  Some elements of Kandinsky’s art are obvious while others are more veiled.  The hidden aspects of his work often reveal themselves gradually to those who deepen their connection with his art.
